The Richard Small Agency has joined Dyste Williams.  This partnership creates an organization even better able to serve the needs of the Dental & OMS Community.

We are also excited to announce that Richard Small, JD, has joined Dyste Williams in the role of Risk Management Consultant of our Dental & OMS Practice and will continue to provide risk management and consulting services.

We firmly believe this change will help us become an even better business partner for our Dental and OMS clients.  We are able to offer additional services, resources, and expertise in a way that continues to meet with our core values and practical approach to benefits and risk management strategic planning. We look forward to sharing these additional capabilities with you.

The Richard Small Agency

The Richard Small Agency was established to exclusively serve, protect and defend dentists, their staff and their practices.

The Agency offered insurance products, risk management suggestions and custom courses relating to issues arising in various types of dental practices and professional liability coverage through  OMSNIC and Fortress, the only insurance companies owned and run by dentists and managed by staff committed to defending your practice and profession.

Richard L. Small, JD

Richard Small practices law in Michigan. He spent the first 20 years of his law practice defending dentists in court in Michigan and other states. He became an insurance agent for OMSNIC and Fortress in 2000.

He participates on the AAOMS State Advocate’s Committee and several Michigan Dental Association Committees as a consultant and author and speaks on topics relating to risk avoidance and risk management for dentists, dental specialists, study clubs, dental students and residents around the country.

Mr. Small is the Executive Director and General Counsel for the Michigan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Great Lakes Society of Oral Surgeons. He also represents the Council of Michigan Dental Specialties and sits on the Michigan Dental Association Access to Care Study Group.
